June

.......June was.....let's just say.... happy crazy.........Joe Iadanza was a great host at the Green Palate Showcase and the crowd was very receptive to this new guy in their territory.

...... Dana and I participated at the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life Walk" in our hometown of Southold. The sense of Community is definitely present in Southold...... reminds me of Maine. The walk was all night and I was asked to play a set at 1:30 in the morning......It was not hard getting going this late because the atmosphere was alive with smiles and laughter.

.... My new friend Teri Kennedy put on another wonderful show at Ashawagh Hall, East Hampton. It is so cool to witness the mix of media of art, poetry and music in the same room. There were world-class published poets on hand, and the work of some of the east end's most amazing artists was on display. Thank you Teri for all that you do to bring these wonderful nights together and thank you for inviting me to perform.

......My Friend Bruce Pandolfo Invited me to collaborate on his New CD AllOne- "Coal Aberrations". He put on an amazing display of his talent and we recently celebrated at his CD release party at the Mills Pond House in NY. You have to hear Bruce's work...he is an engaging storyteller and his work offers a positive outlook on some of the most difficult aspects of our society. Thank you Bruce for letting me share your stage.

...... The first recording sessions for the "Silver Burning Sky" project took place at an old house with great wooden floors in the small town of Bellport, on the water. No bells, no whistles....... just Jack, Laura and Bob our Sound Engineer in one room while Jon Preddice, his cello, together with me and my two guitars- Claire and Alanis- in the main room. What came out of it was honest and what I would like to describe as simply....magical.
