August ~ 2012

...Sometimes the best things about music are the connections you make while you are on the journey itself. I've been lucky enough to play along side some well respected performers here on Long Island and sometimes it's not about performing, but about sharing personal moments. On August 1st, Dana and I drove to Central Islip to see our friends, 'Miles to Dayton' perform.
This was no ordinary performance as they would be backed up by a full symphony orchestra. The music would not be just any music as it was their original songs adapted for that night. The orchestra would not be just any orchestra as it was being conducted by Mr. Phil Preddice, Jon and Leanne's dad, who is one of the most respected teachers and conductors in this area. The joy, the pride, the laughter and the generations of music were on display that night and it is something I will never forget. It is what music should be about and this video is a testimony to the evening.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xpwl48Wq2qg
